Even the brightest star falls prey to the perils
Of doubt, its darkest night,
Yet if the slightest glimmer should escape
The last, there's hope in its light.
For it is in departing that it leaves a mark,
Beyond the shadows, it shall not bend;
That brilliant ray of light is eternal,
As the bond of you and I, my friend.
Whether fate it shatters or destiny makes
Its quiet call, I stand tall and proud,
till the last of ends,
I say this message with clarity and sorrow,
Knew we not time's lease, it merely lends.
